Solving interesting problems.
How did you start out in competitive programming?
After participating in the Math Olympiads several times, my friend recommended that I try to solve algorithmic problems.
What’s your favorite Topcoder SRM problem and why?
TCO17 Round 2C 250 (easy). It had very smart usage of simple bubble sort. It was very cool in my opinion.
Who do you think is the most fierce or talented coder at Topcoder and why?
I don’t believe in talent. For the second part, you can look at the ratings. You will probably find tourist there.
What do you do when not working?
If you could give your past self one piece of advice, what would it be?
It wouldn’t matter. He wouldn’t listen anyways.
What kind of music do you listen to while working on your solutions?
I don’t listen to music.

Do it only if you enjoy the process.
What are you most excited about for this year’s TCO Finals?
Getting a visa.
Do you strive to be at TCO every year and if so, why does it matter to you?
I try to get to all onsite finals.
What was your secret to getting a ticket for the TCO finals more than once?
There is no secret.
