I’m the CTO and Cofounder of a company called Lunchclub.
What’s your favorite thing about competitive programming?
Endless creativity.
How did you start out in competitive programming?
Long ago enough that the details are hard to remember! But, I always loved math and programming and was eventually introduced to Topcoder by my brother Neil.
What’s your favorite Topcoder SRM problem and why?
I love TCO finals 250s – they’re often innovative yet still feel natural.
Who do you think is the most fierce or talented coder at Topcoder and why?
I’m a big fan of xudyh!
What do you do when not working?
Video games, singing, and more programming.
Where do you work? Tell us about your space(s).
A cozy office in downtown SF. :)
What kind of music do you listen to while working on your solutions?
Recently it’s been a lot of K-pop.
What’s the best tip or piece of advice you can share with other members at Topcoder?
Nothing is impossible!
What are you most excited about for this year’s TCO Finals?
Competing against the best and getting to see old friends.
Do you strive to be at TCO every year and if so, why does it matter to you?
Yes! A lot has changed for me since I started, but the urge to compete is still the same.
What was your secret to getting a ticket for the TCO finals more than once?
Programming with my heart.
