About

The fifth edition of the tournament that gathers the most talented college minds in India for an algorithmic academic challenge has arrived! We started with this tournament back in 2015 with a focus to bring the best of the best collegiate minds in India together. With a good four year legacy and a set of amazing competitors and finalists, we are excited to bring back the exciting competition, more goodies (literally!) and yes a more intense competition for you.

The Algorithm competition, part of the 2019 Topcoder Collegiate Contest India, is a timed contest where all contestants compete online and are given the same problems to solve under the same time constraints. The competition is available in four programming languages: Java, C#, C++, and VB.NET.

The qualifiers will be held Online on May 11, 2019and Finals will be held on June 2, 2019 in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Prizes and Goodies

The 2019 Topcoder Collegiate India Champion and the Runner Up in the Onsite Finals will get awarded with $400 and $150 respectively along with TCC19 India Trophies.

The top 10 from the Qualifying Round who agree to attend the finals will receive the following:

  • Registration Ticket to TCO19 India Regionals.

  • Travel Reimbursement of up to 6300 INR ($90), to travel to the Onsite Finals.

  • Topcoder T-shirt - Personalised with their handles/usernames.

  • Next 20 from the online round will be awarded TCC t-shirts.

Rounds Schedule

Online Round

May 11, 21:30 IST

To qualify for the finals, you will first have to compete in an Online Qualifying Round. The top 10 from the qualifiers will compete in the Onsite finale during the TCO19 India Regional Event.

TCC19 Onsite Finals

June 2, 09:00 IST Onwards

The onsite final round will be held during TCO19 India Regionals at Marriott Hotel, Jaipur on June 2nd.

Eligibility

Members who are currently enrolled full time at an accredited college or university in India only are allowed to compete.

  • Topcoder Java Applet - You can refer to this guide here to set up the applet. (Note that those who have Java 8 installed on their machine will see a security issue - You will have to add Topcoder in security exceptions in Java Control Panel. Please refer to the details in the guide here)

  • Topcoder Web Arena(Beta) - Please watch this video for step by step guide.

2015 Topcoder Collegiate Contest India

This was the first edition of Topcoder Collegiate Contest India and the only year when we hosted 2 qualifiers rounds, round 1A and round 1B. 15 members qualified to compete in the finals. gvaibhav21 from IIT Roorkee stood first in the Onsite finale which was held in Jaipur.

2016 Topcoder Collegiate Contest India

The 2nd edition in 2016 was again held in Jaipur, 10 members qualified from the online qualification round and travelled to compete in the Onsite finale. tanuj_khattar from IIIT Hyderabad outdid everyone took home the TCC16 India trophy.

In 2017, we moved the Onsite Finals out of Jaipur and hosted the event in Bangalore where 10 members qualified from the online qualification round for the onsite finals. wucebrayne was able to come out on top after the system test phase and took the TCC17 India trophy home…

Last year, we hosted TCC India for the 4th time. Top 10 members from the qualification round qualified for the onsite finale.
